Course Testimonials

Most challenging of the online courses that I have taken so far. Having never taught a hybrid course (I teach both online and on campus) I was able to learn many new things.

I felt there was a lot of good information for me to develop my online program.

This is probably the best course I have taken. Thank you for the interesting content, challenging forum questions, and quizzes.

Good information. This course validated that I'm on the right track, already using most of the techniques, ideologies and processes detailed. That is always a good feeling!

Great course and very relevant!

Good course. Really clarified new ways of thinking and applying technology to learning. It gave me many ideas to try to improve my courses.

My goal as an instructor is to ensure the content being presented is received and learned. I want to give my students real world examples to help reinforce the content being presented in the classroom. The course has given me a better understanding of how I can not only reach my students, but help them learn. I plan to utilize some of the examples provided in the course in the classroom.

The principals discussed in this course reinforce the importance of student voice in learning, as well as the effectiveness of the instructor as facilitator. It is difficult because you feel that you are giving up control. But it allows student autonomy of learning, and we all desire our students to become lifelong learners.

This course is providing me with benefits to instruction and effective ways to increase students' learning autonomy through technology. I have learned that a Dynamic Learning Environment is where students are engaged and course interaction is maximized. Through this type of learning environment, the learning can be applied to real life experiences.

Dr. Ruth Reynard's work was cited in areas of the course. I have worked with her professionally and was thrilled to see her work, as she is an expert on hybrid courses. I even more invested in this course because I saw giants in the field in the references.

This was a very enjoyable course and one that can easily be put to practice. I do agree that allowing students to demonstrate the knowledge gained in the form of portfolios and not just exams is a great way to evaluate them.

I really liked the way this information was presented. I also appreciate being instructed to take my time and process the information over the course of a couple of weeks. This really helped me to wrap my head around the presented concepts.
